Emma Viskic is an award-winning Australian crime writer. Her critically acclaimed debut novel, Resurrection Bay, was published by Echo Publishing in 2015. 

Emma has won both the Ned Kelly S.D.Harvey Award, and the New England Thunderbolt Prize for her short form fiction, and has been published in Review of Australian Fiction and Award Winning Australian Writing 2014 and 2015.

A classical clarinettist by training, her musical career has ranged from performing with José  Carreras and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, to providing background music for a marriage proposal that ended in a break up. Emma is currently undertaking a three month writing fellowship at Melbourne Polytechnic's Fairfield campus.
